Data You Provide
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you:

Use features like marking places, import place, create views, routes, notes, or custom tags.

Location data
Placify is always improving. We create many features build around your experience of the world. In order for our Services to fully function, we need access to your location and history while using Placify. If you opt to share location data, we collect your location using methods that include GPS, wireless networks, cell towers, Wi-Fi access points, and other sensors, such as gyroscopes, accelerometers, and compasses. We use this range of data sources to give you choose the most accurate picture of where you are or were. Your current location data is not stored or linked to your identity.
Import data
When you use the places import feature, we will record the links you import, and you can create views to collect these links. We will make necessary judgments and identifications of the link content, but Placify is not the controller of the link content, and Placify does not make any guarantees regarding the safety and information security of external links themselves.
Transaction Data
If you purchase paid features, we retain your purchase and subscription history. However, we will not be processing your payment data, it will be collected and processed via App Store.

When you interact with our app or website, we automatically collect:
Device Information: Type of device, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
Usage Data: Actions you take within the app and duration of use.

Where is Your Data Stored?
Placify does not store user-generated data such as places and photos on our servers.
We use Apple CloudKit to store your data, it’s enables seamless data synchronization across your Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple Watches. Your data is securely stored in a private database, encrypted with an account-based key, ensuring that we have no access to any information stored in your iCloud account. Furthermore, we don’t have access to your Apple ID, which serves as a unique identifier limited to our app. This identifier doesn’t allow us to track your identity across different apps. so that you maintain full control over your content and view content faster.
How Do We Protect Your Data?
We implement industry-standard security measures, such as encryption and secure servers, to safeguard your personal data. While these measures help protect your information, no internet transmission can be entirely secure. We strongly recommend using robust passwords and keeping your account credentials confidential.
Transmitting personal information to and from our Services is done at your own discretion and risk. To ensure maximum security, please access our Services only within a trusted and secure environment.
For all payments are handle by Apple and not stored or processed on our servers.
How Long Do We Keep Your Data?
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services or comply with legal requirements. You can request account deletion, and we will remove your data from active systems. However, some data may be retained for legal or troubleshooting purposes.

Data Deletion: you can delete your data (Photos, Videos, Places, Routes) easily within the app.
Children’s Privacy
Placify is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware of data collected from a child without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
California Privacy Rights
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, or the "Shine The Light" law, allows California residents to request, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for direct marketing and their names and addresses. To make a request, please submit it in writing using the contact information below.
If you are under 18, reside in California, and have a registered account with the App, you can request removal of unwanted data you publicly posted. To do so, contact us with your account email and confirm your California residency. We’ll ensure the data isn’t publicly displayed, but it may not be fully removed from all systems.
Information for European Union Users
By using our services and providing your information, you authorize us to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union.
How Does We Handle Do Not Track?
When a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place, we honor Do Not Track signals and refrain from using plant cookies or advertising.
