Meet the new Placify v1.0

8 months ago, Placify made its very first appearance with v0.0.1. Back then, it was just a beginning: a simple way to turn your travels into a personal map. Today, we’re releasing Placify v1.0 which is our most important update yet.

This is more than a feature release. It’s a new foundation, lighter and clearer, built to carry every journey ahead.

The New Liquid Glass Design Language

With iOS 26, Apple introduced Liquid Glass. Placify v1.0 adopts this new language and refines it with care, bringing it into maps, memories, and moments with gentle refinement.

The interface has been reimagined lightweight, transparent, and fluid. App icons, widgets, and controls now carry a glass-like finish.

From lists to subtle animations, every detail feels gentler and more natural. Interactions respond with greater fluidity, seamlessly in tune with iOS 26.

Placify 1.0 not only looks lighter, it also makes exploring and remembering more intuitive:

• Map Overview: the Home screen now reveals regions and cities at a glance, turning trips into a clear outline.

• Lists and Sorting: switch to list view and sort in multiple ways, keeping places neatly organized.

• A Smoother Photo Experience: a new picker and browser make recalling memories feel natural and effortless.

• Collage-Style Sharing Cards: transform visit records into elegant collages—sharing becomes more than sending, it’s presenting memories beautifully.

• Search History: quickly revisit past searches and return to places that once inspired you.

• AI Route Naming: powered by Apple Intelligent (on supported devices), routes are now named with creativity and inspiration.

Architecture and Performance

Beneath the surface, Placify is also steadier and clearer.

A redesigned bottom navigation bar simplifies the hierarchy, making paths through the app easier to follow. Stability fixes and refinements ensure smoother overall performance.

This structure lays the groundwork for what comes next, opening space for future features to grow with care.
